How do I contact my doctor ?

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to be able to get high quality, timely care from your regular doctor. 

If you can't get an appointment soon enough with your usual doctor. 

  • You can ask a receptionist to email your doctor to see if they can fit you in sooner than their next available routine appointment. 
  • You can email 
    and your email will be forwarded to your doctor.
  • You may be happy to see another doctor that is available however, especially if you have chronic medical problems, we will endeavor to book you in with your regular doctor who knows you well.  
For more urgent matters where there are no available appointments, we will book you in with a nurse who will see you first and then place you on our emergency list for any doctor who is able to squeeze you in.

For repeat prescriptions, test results and renewed referrals you may want to book them online.

If you are a regular patient and need to speak to a doctor after hours for an urgent matter please contact (08) 9842 2822 and follow the prompts on the recorded message.

Alternatively Albany Regional Hospital has an emergency department available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Telephoning Health Direct is another option.  This is an after hours GP helpline for health information and assistance from a registered nurse or medical advice from a GP if needed. If you are unsure what to do, Health Direct will give you the reassurance and practical advice you need.

We provide patients with the opportunity to provide compliments, complaints or suggestions either directly to our Management Team, and we have a suggestion box in reception. If you are not satisfied with our response to your concerns The Health and Disability Services Complaints Office provides a free impartial resolution service Ph:1800 813 583.
